In the past month, some friends and I have been talking about making our own rugs out of fabric. We had seen some tutorials on Pinterest.com. (What a great site for ideas on just about any food, hobby, or home design!) We decided when and where we wanted to meet. Before our first meeting, we each needed to find fabric. Either fabric we already had or sheets that we found at secondhand stores. I chose some woven fabrics that went with my home decor mixed in with some sheet fabric I found at Goodwill (in Kearney) and a local secondhand store. We also each bought an ENORMOUS crochet needle for crocheting our rugs. (I found one at Hobby Lobby and also one at WalMart. I picked one up for a friend.)
I ripped the fabric into 2" strips.
And then rolled them into balls for storage.
On the way to Alissa's house this morning, Karen L. and I saw this AMAZING fog...
it was so beautiful in the low-lying areas!
And the trees and grasses were all frosty :D
Thank You, Jesus, for adding extra beauty to the day!
I've never crocheted before...and at first when Kyla O. was showing me,
I felt like I was learning Greek.
But, now I'm crocheting like a pro :)
(At least that's how it feels!)
I have worked a little more today other
than when we worked together this morning.
Here's how much I've done...
You would not BELIEVE this crochet hook!
I just had to compare with a tape measure!

Thank You, Lord,
for friends
to laugh with...
to learn a new hobby with...
and to live life together with!
They really are one of Your
sweet blessings
in life.
