Saturday, July 2, 2011--What a fun afternoon and evening! Thursday, I read in the paper that McDonald's is hosting a scavenger hunt for a 3 foot tall orange cup. The one who finds it will get free smoothies or iced drinks for a year. This "said" cup was hidden somewhere in Broken Bow (other communities are doing it as well) on public property. The hunt officially started on Friday at 7AM. (We called McDonald's to see if it had been turned in before we went out on our own hunt for the cup.)
Friday evening and yesterday afternoon, we looked and looked for this cup. It must have been hidden REALLY good, unless it has already been found and not turned in! In the process of looking, we walked and walked around, drove around, and made lots of fun memories :) Thank you, McDonald's for the adventure!
Sunday, July 3, 2011--New Adult Sunday School Classes started today...my dear husband is teaching one using the Love and Respect book and video. What a great reminder of how we, in our marriages, often live in the "Crazy Cycle"...of communication...not giving our husbands respect and in turn, not receiving love that we need and in turn, not giving our husbands the respect that they need. Oh, very, very convicting!
