blessings...

To my dearest Bible study gals...
here's a incredible song and story
of a woman finding
blessing from hardship.
Love to you...
Jennie

First, the story behind the song..."Blessings."

"Blessings" by Laura Story

Lord,
Thank you for pain
even when we're in the midst of it...
help us to see
Your hand
and Your mercy
in it.
Use the painful situations we are in
to bring us closer
in our walks with You
and help us to see the
hurting people all around us.
May our pain bring encouragement
to others.

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develps perseverance.  Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything....Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. ~ James 1:2-4, 12

to You I give thanks...

Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.                            ~ I Thessalonians 5:18

Give--something sent away from me to someone else
Thanks--appreciation for
In--while, during, going through
All--every single, minute speck of
Circumstances--things that happen beyond my own control, environment I might find myself in
For--because, since
This--specifically, exactly that one
Is--a state of existence
God's--Supreme Being, Creator, Sovereign
Will--desired plan
For--specified for an individual
You--anyone reading
In--(see above)

a day together in October

Saturday morning, Daddy had a meeting
for BOMS (Board Of Ministerial Standing)
with the Midwest District for the
E-Free Church.

We went together and
spent time in another room at
church during the meeting.

Joshua working hard at the computer

When Daddy's meeting got over,
we went to check out one of the
many parks in Geneva.

This park, called the Boys Park.

A neat bridge allows access to both sides
of the park.

The pond has fishing available for
children.

 Besides playground equipment,
there is a lot of space to run
and play catch!
(Perfect for my boys!)

Have I ever mentioned that
we don't know
what the word
"boring"
means?

We always find something to do!

Lord,
Thank you for time together
with my family!

one favorite fall tradition

This weekend,
we were able to do
one of our favorite Fall traditions,
 we have as a family.....
visiting the
Chramosta Pumpkin Patch,
owned and operated by
Ron and Shannon Chramosta
(Scott's cousins),
just south of Gibbon, NE.

Joshua and Austin LOVE
the pumpkin slinger!

Using small pumpkins and gourds,
they try to hit a small bale of hay,
a scarecrow, or a pumpkin sign.
(If they hit one of those targets,
they could win a pumpkin
or a can of pop or bag of popcorn!)

They got really close and even had a gourd "hop over"
the bale of hay several times!
Then they went out and helped pick up
 the slung gourds and pumpkins.

Scott's cousin and her husband
have a herd of "fainting" goats!
They are so friendly.
They even LOVE to be hand-fed,
but will still faint if frightened!

The trikes were a hit!

An adventure into the corn maze...

with my three favorite guys!

For some reason, they didn't want to take
the shortcut (to the right)...

a quick shot of us while Joshua and Austin are checking
out the two different routes to go

Austin and his walking stick

Joshua and Austin both want to go a
different way!

Austin getting ready to take a bite from the cob...
missing his two front teeth.

Now which way?!

We made it!

The slide is really slick after being waxed!

Waxing the slide some more!

Looking for the perfect pumpkin...

Austin's perfect pumpkin

Looking and looking...

I found it!

Joshua and his perfect pumpkin

back on the hayrack for a ride back

Thanks,
 Ron and Shannon
for all of your hard work
in making your pumpkin patch
so much fun!
We love coming to see you each year :)
